For this historic country house we had to not only satisfy Building control and the Planning Department, but also obtain listed building approval and approval from English Heritage. After much deliberation and negotiation we arrived at this stunning solution. A completely Hardwood Orangery was produced using our hand made sliding sash Georgian windows.
At Heritage we pride ourselves on our attention to detail and our hand made Hardwood sliding sash windows are a good example of this.
Using the latest in heat reflective glazing and draught proofing
technology, while retaining the traditional chord and weight box
design, we achieve the best of both worlds.
With this building, as with all Heritage Orangeries, a steel cage was erected first to ensure the stability and long term integrity and investment value of the building.
Our use of Hardwood when creating our pilasters and parapet cornice work ensure the long term sur-vival of the building, while the use of Sikkens
microporous wood treatments ensures minimum maintenance.
