Having gained planning permission for an architect designed kitchen extension, it was felt that something a bit more interesting was needed if the investment was going to be worthwhile.
Having discovered this website it was decided a Heritage Orangery would fit the bill.
Once we had re-designed the project the new design needed to be submitted to planning and Listed building approval. After discussions and tweaks a design was agreed to suit everyone. Then Building regulation approval needed to be obtained.
At heritage we work through all seasons, building rooms for all seasons.

The end result I’m sure you’ll agree is a unique dining room which is both functional and stylish.
Our use of steelwork has been developed to a fine art over the years enabling us to undertake brave designs with confidence.

An innovative use of glass jugs as ceiling lights.
As well as opening up the end wall of the existing kitchen the doorway up to the current dining room needed to be closed off to provide a new sink area. The existing dining room would be used to enlarge the lounge with doors into the new dining room.
The finished result! Allowing the two rooms to flow into one another thus creating the large open plan area our clients desired.

With the window and wall out and the kitchen extended an old doorway was reinstated for access into the adjacent room to be converted from a boot room into a utility room.

The kitchen table was replaced by a modern island with a raised breakfast bar in contrasting colour.
Steel was needed to open up the current kitchen window wall to create a large opening from the kitchen into the new orangery building.
Our client wanted a larger modern kitchen with a more cheerful and bright view of the garden. A new dining room was also on the shopping list, to be accessed from the kitchen.
A very leaky old garden room with a well in the middle would need to be removed to make room for the new project.
Externally, our use of finest hardwood with modern microporous treatments ensure a stylish and low maintenance investment.

Steps up from the kitchen Orangery
access the very stylish Heritage dining room. Instead of a glass lantern with solid sides it was decided to have glass slit sides with a lead lantern creating a solid ceiling.
The orangery area not only enabled the existing kitchen to be totally re-vamped but is now an excellent relaxation area from which to view the garden as well as the plasma screen!
