A lot of people come to Heritage Conservatories because they like the idea of having a Conservatory, although a more substantial approach is often more suitable. On this project the customers wanted the light bright feel of a Conservatory but with a ‘proper room feel’.

Non-opening sashes were made as dummies to achieve equal glass lines and create a harmonious overall appearance.

The ceiling makes an ideal location for dimmer controlled microspot lighting.

Roof vents are essential to ventilate the room and the use of electronic motor driven openers controlled by a wall switch makes using them simple.

The steel uprights were insulated between the cavities and then cloaked with hardwood pilasters externally.

With window frames running the entire perimeter of the building the Heritage approach is to use steelwork to make the building structurally sound and to support the weight of the hardwood and glass roof lantern and the lead decking.
