When it was decided to open the kitchen into a new leisure area over looking the lake Heritage was the obvious choice having already completed three projects at the property over previous years.
Before
Incorporated into the new building was an enlargement to the existing utility room, accessed via an oak sliding door.
As well as a custom made pantry with matching oak doors.
After
The fenestration for the new building needed to match the work previously undertaken and a diagonally positioned frontage was also required to view the lake square on.
The side wall of the existing kitchen was removed to enable more light to shine in and brighten the area. At the same time this created an incredible open living area in which to spread out.
The hardwood lantern and motorised roof vents generate the light airy impact.
And as always with a Heritage building, at the heart of the structure is the steel cage holding it all up! Shown here while the roof aperture was in progress.
The use of Hardwood bi-fold doors ensured the new outlook from the kitchen was maximised, also the view from the island leisure globe looking back to the house was greatly improved.
The use of a Hardwood lantern and glass skylites ensure a bright and cheerful atmosphere is created in the new leisure area plus additional light is added to the existing Kitchen area.
